BIDRI BOX

An elongated octagonal shaped box with an interior tray divided into five compartments. The box is richly decorated with flowers and foliage which alternate with geometric elements. The decoration is achieved by the Bidri technique originating in the Bidar area in India. Bidri is a process consisting on the inlay of silver designs on a metal alloy object.
