A Portuguese rosewood chest of drawers with serpentine top, slightly wavy sides, cabriole legs, front and side aprons and two short and one long drawer. The aprons and legs are carved in the usual Portuguese 18th century manner with shell, rocaille and leaf motifs. The elegant gilt metal fittings incorporate an eagle with open wings. |
