26 / 31 OUR LADY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION Polychromed Wood and Ivory China or Philippines, 17th/18th century 47 x 96 cm Large in the round plychromed wood sculpture of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, with ivory face and hands. The wood carving is probably the work of a Philippino sculptor following a European model. The ivory head and hands seam to be the work of one of the numerous Chinese artists based in the Philippines.
