CEDAR WOOD Azores, Portugal, 16th/17th century 103 x 382 x 59 cm A rare cedar wood writing cabinet with an incised decoration typical of this group of furniture, from early Azores workshops. The decoration consists of fantastic creatures and elegant stylized foliage. Large writing cabinets of this type are extremely rare. The present example is in fine almost original condition. |
