MINIATURE OF A TEMPLE Rock Crystal Laos, 17th century 7,7 x 5,8 x 17,5 cm Miniature carving of a Buddhist temple or stupa, in three sections. The main body rests on a tiered base, each face with a Buddha within a niche, in the style of the stucco decorated brick Buddhist temples of Northern Thailand and Laos. The structure is surmounted by a pyramid shaped finial. |
